Extractions & Wisdom Teeth Removal
What is Tooth Extraction?
Tooth extraction is the removal of a tooth from its socket in the bone. Despite our best efforts to save your tooth, sometimes it is the only alternative. In that case, we will try hard to make it comfortable, pain-free experience as much as possible!
Why is it necessary?
If a tooth has been broken or damaged by decay or trauma, your Lewisville Cosmetic Dentist, Dr. Park will attempt to save it, if at all possible! Sometimes, though, there's too much damage to save or it just doesn't make sense to do all for a tooth. In this case, the tooth needs to be extracted to prevent further pain or complication. A very loose tooth also will require extraction since it will irritate your gum and cause infection potentially.

Also, Dr. Park recommends to remove all 4 wisdom teeth as early as possible from his personal experience. The wisdom teeth can cause gum inflammation or cavity to an adjacent tooth that you don't want to lose. There are many teeth to take good care of and wisdom teeth should not be one of them.
